Over the March Break I had my son Tait in the studio with me. He wanted to help so I said “Ok, paint some grass for me.” That day I treated myself to no stress. For me that means no set expectations. No painting I needed to get finished. I just allowed myself to play. Amazing what happens when you let your hair down. This new style has all the components of my earlier work but is looser and more free. A good friend at work adores female cardinals, and we teach at Notre Dame. Three Dames it is.
